Spring 2025 saw progress in preparing the elements for hoisting of the crane at Kings Wharf.


Timber repairs to the crane gaff were completed at Rice and Coles by Guy Bennett and John Boyce.

The spar was transported to the jetty at high tide by Dave Boyce and James Boggis.

The jetty was prepared and the existing hardware was restored on the existing crane post and found to be in sound condition.

Spring 2025 also saw progress on the Crouch Engineering jetty 50m up river of Kings jetty. The rusty existing wall plate was removed and replaced by a new galvanised plate. The preparations are now complete and awaiting replacement of the two existing piles.
