Monday 8th June saw a celebration to mark the arrival of Edith May, a 120 year old Thames Barge and the first time a barge had sat on Quaycote for some 30 years.

This was achieved by a collaboration between BWH and Tiller and Wheel who own and operate several Thames barges from their Kent base.

Hospitality was offered by BWH and some 60 guests enjoyed an evening on the river on this historic vessel, entertained by maritime author and legend Dick Durham.
Thanks to Ed Gransden and his crew for making this a memorable evening and to Nick Wood for his photography.
